Update on “PYM et al. vs. DHS” – Invitation to Info Session
| Here is some news and a request for interested F/friends to join an upcoming information session on March 10 “Dear Friends, Greetings and best wishes! As you may already know, Philadelphia Yearly Meeting, along with other Quaker yearly meetings and faith groups, sued the U.S. Department of Homeland Security in January 2025. PYM et al. vs. DHS challenges a presidential executive order on immigration enforcement that we believe interferes with our freedom of religious expression. A temporary injunction by the court restored the previous status quo, protecting the rights of PYM-affiliated meetings and the other plaintiffs, while the case works its way through the legal system. Now, you are invited to an information session, over Zoom, on March 10 at 5:30 pm Eastern, on the current status of the lawsuit.
