Spring Weekend of Worship with Attention to Music and Song

“Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight…” –
words often sung in Quaker meetings. This May 22–24, Woodbury Meeting—whose
meetinghouse has stood since 1715—opens its doors and grounds for Spring Weekend, a
regenerative campout for all ages. Hosted by South Jersey Quakers and neighbors, with
sponsorship from SouthJerseyQuakers and partnership from Tri Quarter, we invite you to camp,
potluck, sing, attend learning sessions, visit, and build peace and sustainable networks
across South Jersey.
Arrival begins Friday at 4pm with open walk-in registration. Saturday features
workshops on local peacebuilding, followed by a community song swap. Evening brings
a candlelit singing of “We Shall Overcome” and “This Little Light of Mine.” Sunday
worship at 10:30am is followed by refreshments and visiting. “Let your life speak.” Bring
tents, sleeping bags, a dish to share (fruit especially welcome), songbooks, and games.
Woodbury Meeting is accessible, family-friendly, and open to all. Come “walk cheerfully
over the earth, answering that of God in every one.” For more info, contact South Jersey
Quakers. Thank you, Tri Quarter, for your partnership.*
