A salt light already yours

Still, Small Voice Heard in a Self of Wilderness: Eight Pieces

Call to Stillness

What was the sound before thunder?

A breeze without destination; snow slipping from evergreen boughs.

   Friend, let expectation fall silent.

The true me is not a list—it is settled quiet beneath noise.

   Way opens.

 Haiku:

Way Opens

   Expectation falls.

   Woolman’s tenderness leads—

   Barclay’s light beneath light.

Antiprogrammed Meeting / Equality

If that of God is in everyone, whom does your silence still rank below you?

Where does your community dismantle hierarchy?

Acts 2:44—all things common. Mutual service, not charity.

   Equality is liberation.

 Blueprint

Blessed are my updating versions for we are spiritually poor—the Kindom is theirs.

Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for justice—holy impatience is prayer. This verse is there.

Blessed are our peacemaker selves—Black-led, Rights, humanist Beloved Community.

Salt. Light. Shine like stars in a crooked world. Do not hide.

Wider Revelation.

Sending bliss to Indigenous Kinship

Buddha under the tree. Krishna on the battlefield. Lao Tzu in the flow.

But the land is not a resource—it is relative.

Can you receive a new heart (Ezekiel 36:26) and still keep stealing?i

Land Back is not metaphor. Kinship is the earth belonging to the humble.

Reparations & Land Back

Two sides – one coin: two wings 🪽 one bird. On stolen labor, on stolen land.

   Doctrine of Discovery. White supremacy.

Will you repair our breach (Isaiah 58:12)? Will you return?

Reparations is not charity; Land Back is not a favor.

From one blood all nations (Acts 17:26)—right relationship now.

Peace & Nonviolent Liberation

   Refuse harm.

   Confront militarist idols—

   love enemies, refuse to dehumanize.

   Peace is not passive.

The goal is not victory but Beloved Community.

Peace that surpasses understanding (Philippians 4:7) is fierce.

Before the Journey Lies the Destination

Dry bones, hear the still, small voice (Ezekiel 37).

True me is not a fixed point—if it lands, you’re gone.

It is spark, path, risk, deeper relationship.

Who began a good work in you (Philippians 1:6)? Will you walk?

Salt and light already yours. Walk. Listen. Become. Breathe. Be water. Be shadow.
