Watercolor - Self Reflection
Description: Meed will take us through some basic techniques and then provide some beautiful music and quiet to create with watercolors with a view of the lake and woods from the large windows of Douglas Lodge. All supplies included.
Facilitator: Meed Barnett
Bio: Meed is a master artist and jewelry maker. She has led workshops in many mediums. Her creativity has no bounds. Further, she leads weekly streaming sing-alongs that she began with her husband Bob in 2020. ‘The Sing’ can be accessed every Monday live at 4 PM EST.
Who Can Participate: Adults, HS, MS
The Quaker Testimonies
Description: A discussion of Quaker Testimonies: Simplicity, Truth, Equality, and Peace. This is a talk on how they came to be, the evolution of them, and their relevance today.

Children’s Program
Description: Children’s program available which will be tailored to the children and ages who sign up which will include indoor and outdoor activities.

Low Ropes Course
Description: Low Ropes: A series of team building activities that require the group to work together to solve a specific task or challenge. These challenges focus on building leadership, trust, and communication skills. (Low to the ground; no climbing involved)
Facilitator: Camp Staff
Who Can Participate: Adults,High School Age Youth, and And Middle School Youth with Parent presence.

1:00 - 3:00 PM Saturday Afternoon Workshops:
Nature Walk ‘n Talk
Description: Come along for a pleasant nature walk around the beautiful grounds in camp. Learn about New Jersey’s pine barrens and how to make acorn bread. We’ll do some foraging along the way when possible, and point out interesting plants and animals.
Facilitator: Ellen Preston, Woodbury Friends Meeting
Bio: Ellen has spent over a decade exploring the New Jersey pine barrens on horseback. She has previously run the nature walk and solar cooking workshops at TriQuarter. She is a scientist with an MS in astrophysics and works as an international consultant. She is a former First Class Girl Scout and avid camper.
Who Can Participate: Suitable for all ages
Walking the Talk: How Do We 'Be?'
Description: Do we know what change we need for Beloved Community? How does ‘who we be’ fit for building this community? Let’s take time to consider who we are and how we bring our best selves into community. We’ll look at aspects of our actions, our wondering, share experiences - lows and highs - to learn how ‘what I do affects you, what you do affects me’.
We may find new ways to respond to challenges of the day. Bring your journal!
Facilitator: Joan Broadfield
Bio: Joan grew up in several places including an HBCU [Historically
Black College/University] campus, and in a family navigating socioeconomic differences. A member of Chester Friends Meeting, Joan has worked on issues of conflict response, bias awareness and racism as she has navigated life as a parent, spouse and teacher, and as a meeting clerk and faith based activist. Along the way she learned methods to pass on her learnings. She retired from Quaker work in 2009 and is busier than ever in her meeting and in the city of Chester on issues important to her community. Joan also loves to sing.
Who Can Participate: Geared towards adults but anyone can participate.
High Ropes Course
Description: High Ropes: Various climbing elements that push you out of your comfort zone and into your growth zone! Climb anywhere from 25-50 feet up in the air on elements like Rickety Bridge, Cat Walk, the Climbing Wall, and more.
Facilitator: Camp Staff

Sunday Activities
8:00 - 9:00AM - Yoga
Description: Hatha/Kundalini Yoga on the beach for beginners to gurus. Mats provided or bring your own. We will strengthen our immune systems, release stress & toxins, and laugh a lot. We will end with deep relaxation and a short meditation.
Facilitator: Mimi Scalia
Bio: Mimi Scalia has been teaching yoga since the late 1960’s (before there were yoga mats) studying with various yogis who brought Hatha Yoga, etc to the U.S. from India, and then certifying in Kundalini with Yogi Bhajan. She enjoys adapting classes to students’ particular abilities and needs

10:00 - 12:00 - Children’s Program
Description: Children’s program available which will be tailored to the children and ages who sign up which will include indoor and outdoor activities.

1:00 - 3:00 - Woodturning Demo and Try It Out
Description: This event will cover the wood turning processes needed for making a stick pen, spinning top, small bowls and beads. Marty will cover the safety issues while turning wood on a lathe and places to acquire turning tools and supplies. (Ending time will depend on the number of participants wishing to try the woodturning.)
Facilitator: Marty Richter
Bio: Marty is a wood craftsman and designer as well as an educator. He has been sharing his skills as a teacher at Moorestown Friends School for decades. In his retirement he continues to generously share his knowledge and time as an artist.
