Medford Meeting will host speaker Cynthia Mosley, historian for St. John United Methodist Church, the church of the Lenape people. She will discuss the impact of major dates in history on the Nanticoke Lenni Lenape people as well as important headlines of today, such as the unseen tears at residential boarding schools and the resulting generational trauma, the increasing incidence of murdered and missing indigenous women, and the recent loss of 7 years in life expectancy of Native Americans. The efforts of the Methodist Church to end systemic racism in the church could be a model for other socially minded groups. In person and via zoom; call the office (609-915-8914) for zoom link.
