This workshop is designed for anyone who would like to learn more about Quakers - from newcomers to long-term Quakers and everyone in between. It will cover the history of Quakers and their social activism. It will also explore what Quakers believe, how we worship, and how we have established a nurturing, supportive community for those who are looking for simplicity, peace, and social justice in their lives and in the world.
The workshop will use the bookLetters to a Fellow Seeker. We have several copies on hand at the meetinghouse. We will read aloud and discuss so folks on Zoom can follow along.
If you are coming in person:The address is 9600 New Falls Rd, Levittown, PA. (We are actually in the historic township of Fallsington, but the GPS will show it as Levittown).. There are two buildings at that address. The front one (next to the road) is the William Penn Children's Center. The meetinghouse is the one further back. There is plenty of parking.
Lunch will be served. Please let us know if you have any special dietary needs (vegetarian/vegan; gluten-free; dairy-free; nut allergies, etc.).
