All are invited to learn about the illustrious history and the powerful current peace work done by the Golden Rule, a modest sailboat with a huge mission. The Golden Rule, with Quaker Peace Activist George Willoughby onboard, played a key role in bringing nuclear testing in the Pacific to an end in the 1970's. The ship is now crewed by peace activists including Veterans for Peace who are fiercely dedicated to preventing nuclear conflict and to ending wars of aggression. Come meet some of these wonderful people and learn more about this work: Tuesday, May 9th from 5 to 7 pm in the Rufus Jones Room of the Friends Center at 15th and Cherry Streets, Philadelphia, PA.
