Join Fallsington Friends Meeting, Force for Good Music and Films and Citizens Climate Lobby for a free interactive screening and discussion on Climate Change and subsequent positive actions. This event will also be live online via zoom. To obtain the link or sign up for the in-person event, please register on Eventbrite. All guests are required to register in advance.
The evening features a screening of the award-winning,Force For Goodshort music films,IceandSolar, followed by discussions about climate change and how we can take action, withTom WellsfromFallsington Friends,Bill MettlerfromCitizens' Climate Lobby, andJonathan SproutandRodney WhittenbergfromForce For Good Music.
In addition, a 30-minute talk by distinguished atmospheric scientist,Katharine Hayhoe entitled, "Finding Hope in Combating Climate Change," will be shown. Hayhoe is aprofessor of political science and Director of the Climate Science Centerat Texas Tech University, is considered one of the top 100 mostinfluentialpeople by Time Magazine, and a UN Champion of the Environment. She has recently published a book,Saving Us.
Attendees will be invited to participate in a positive action step on combating climate change following Katherine's talk. Light refreshments will be served.
