Tuesday, April 6, 7 PM –
Haddonfield Monthly Meeting will host a book discussion with Rocky Wilson. Often called the Muse of Camden, he is also a performance artist and Walt Whitman interpreter. For more than two decades, he has hosted “Pizza and Poetry” one of the longest running poetry series in New Jersey.
In 2019, he was presented the Camden County Freedom Medal in recognition of his service to Camden.
Book copies can be obtained from Inkwood Books in Haddonfield, La Unique Books in Camden, and Moonstone Café in Philadelphia.
Using “The Last Bus to Camden” as a starting point, we have invited Rocky to reflect on his journey from growing up in Haddonfield to his personal commitment to the people of Camden and the quest for social justice.
